In the past 2 years, Our Designs Landscape Architects & Associates Inc. has been gaining experience in an interdisciplinary team building approach to address the multiple tasks of environmental design.  The design of riparian and regenerative habitats requires several layers of consideration that include:

  • plant and root system research
  • soil analysis and soil harvesting planning
  • stormwater design and management through natural systems
  • people and traffic management on trails through sensitive ecological habitats
  • site analysis for design concepts to be constructed
  • landscape plan designs for trails, aquatic edges, greenways, roadways, access and maintenance roadways
  • plant selections to accommodate micro environmental conditions for rainfall and storm events
  • designing wetlands and stream beds and channels for storm events using topographic and site survey information
  • landscape planting design

The multiple tasks environmental stewardship, accessibility and sustainability must meet rigorous requirements for public safety and welfare.  Collaboration with professionals having demonstrated competence in such disciplines as environmental and civil engineering, wildlife biology, storm water management, planning within regulatory and municipal infrastructures is one of our hallmarks.

We take pride in the ability and versatility to develop close working relationships with both the client, the municipal authorities, the local community, and the professional community.
