L.A. West Landscape Architects, Environmental Planners, 2006

[We] have known Donna Rodman since August 1999 when she applied for a position as a BCSLA Intern with L.A. West Landscape Architects [New Westminster, B.C.].   Ms. Rodman's desire to bring safe, accessibility into the Landscape is strong and her work for people with disabilities has been part of her inspiration to continue striving to be a Registered Landscape Architect.  She has considerable insight and sensitivity into the special needs of exceptional persons.

Ms. Rodman has some unique interests which stem from a varied personal and educational background and her multidisciplinary approach to finding solutions.  Ms. Rodman has presented papers at conferences in California, Massachusetts, New York, Florida, Italy and Quebec on the topics of universal and therapeutic design as well as intergenerational design.  Recently, she has been investigating design and its relationship to human factors such as the influence of working with plant material on the human psychophysiology.
